WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT

Your windshield isn’t just a window. It’s a structural component of your vehicle, it contributes to roof rigidity, helps airbags deploy correctly, and keeps you inside the car in a rollover. Driving on a compromised windshield is a genuine safety issue, not just a cosmetic one.

We’ve replaced windshields on thousands of vehicles across Marion County, commuter cars, pickup trucks, minivans, SUVs, RVs, fleet vehicles. If your glass needs to come out, we know how to do it right.

Repair Isn’t Always Possible, Here’s When You Need New Glass

We’d rather repair than replace when we can, it’s faster and cheaper for everyone. But replacement is the correct answer when:

The crack is longer than 6 inches. Once a crack reaches that length, resin can’t restore reliable structural integrity across the whole break.

The damage is in your direct line of sight. Even a perfectly done repair can leave behind some faint optical distortion. In the center of your vision, that’s not acceptable, and it’s not something we’ll do and send you on your way with.

There’s damage at the edge of the windshield. Edge cracks are more aggressive, they spread faster because the glass is under more tension near the frame, and they can compromise the seal between the glass and your car’s body. That leads to leaks and, in a serious accident, potential structural failure.

The chip penetrated both layers of glass. Less common, but when the damage goes all the way through both layers of laminated glass, repair isn’t structurally sufficient.

You have multiple chips or cracks. At some point, you’re patching a windshield that just needs to be replaced.

What to Expect From a Mobile Replacement

You call us. We get your insurance info (if applicable), look up the glass for your vehicle, and schedule your appointment. We’ll confirm the glass is in stock before we book anything.

We come to you. One of our mobile technicians shows up at your home, office, or wherever your car is located in Marion County. You don’t need to be there the whole time, most people just hand over the keys and go about their day.

We remove the old windshield. Using professional-grade tools and taking care around your vehicle’s trim and paint, we pull the damaged glass.

We prep the frame. We clean the pinch weld, the metal frame around the windshield, and apply urethane adhesive. This is the bond that holds your windshield to the car. We don’t rush this step.

We set the new glass. The new windshield goes in, we check the fit and seal, and we do a final inspection.

We give you a drive-away time. The urethane needs time to cure before the vehicle is safe to drive. Typically about an hour, though we’ll give you a specific time based on the temperature and conditions that day.

Total time on-site: roughly 60–90 minutes

What Kind of Glass Are We Talking About?

We use OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) glass and OEM-equivalent glass from vetted suppliers.

OEM means it came from the same manufacturer that made the original glass for your vehicle. OEM-equivalent means it’s manufactured to the same specifications, same thickness, same tint, same optical clarity, by a different manufacturer.

We don’t use thin aftermarket glass. We don’t cut corners on this. Your windshield is a safety component and we treat it like one. The glass we install meets or exceeds Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.

Does Your Car Have Safety Cameras on the Windshield?

A lot of newer vehicles do. Systems like lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control rely on cameras mounted near the rearview mirror. After a windshield replacement, these cameras need to be recalibrated, the new glass sits at a very slightly different position than the old one, and that small difference is enough to throw off the sensor alignment.

If you skip recalibration, those safety systems may not work correctly, or may not work at all. We handle ADAS recalibration. When you call, just tell us your year, make, and model and we’ll let you know whether your vehicle requires it.

Florida Law Says Your Insurance Covers This at Zero Deductible

Under Florida Statute 627.7288, if you carry comprehensive coverage, your insurer must cover windshield replacement in full. No deductible. No rate increase. No catch.

We work with every major carrier, State Farm, Geico, Progressive, Allstate, USAA, Travelers, and everyone else. We file the claim directly. Most of our customers don’t make a single call to their insurance company.
